Description

The Michael Wills Scholarships fund students from Central or Eastern Europe to study for MSc courses in Migration Studies, Refugee and Forced Migration Studies, Economics for Development and Global Governance and Diplomacy at the University of Oxford. The Michael Wills Scholarships are jointly funded by the Dulverton Trust and by the Oxford Department of International Development. The Dulverton Trust is an independent, charitable, grant-making organisation established by in 1949 by the first Lord Dulverton. Since its foundation, the Dulverton Trust has made grants totalling over £85 million, which have provided much-needed support for thousands of charities.

Dulverton Trust and by the Oxford Department of International Development are inviting applications for Michael Wills scholarships for masters students to learn MSc Economics for Development, MSc Global Governance and Diplomacy, MSc Migration Studies and MSc Refugee & Forced Migration Studies. Scholarships are provided to learn MSc Economics for Development, MSc Global Governance and Diplomacy, MSc Migration Studies and MSc Refugee & Forced Migration Studies at University of Oxford in UK. This scholarship is available for pursuing master’s degree level at University of Oxford in UK.

Eligibility

  • -Applicants should be applying to start one of the following master’s courses at Oxford:  MSc Economics for Development, MSc Global Governance and Diplomacy, MSc Migration Studies and MSc Refugee & Forced Migration Studies.
  • -If you are a resident in an eligible country outside of the EEA (European Economic Area), you should be intending to return to your country of ordinary residence once your course is completed.
  • -Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and priority will be given to applicants who have not previously studied in the US or UK.

Students from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Hungary, FYR of Macedonia, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey and Ukraine can apply for these scholarships.

Scholarship

The scholarship will cover 100% of University and college fees and a grant for living costs (of at least £12,900). Awards are made for the full duration of your fee liability for the agreed course.

Application

Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and priority will be given to applicants who have not previously studied in the US or UK. Decisions are expected to be made around May 2015.

There is no separate application process for this scholarship: in order to be considered, you must submit your application for graduate study by 23 January 2015. To be eligible for consideration for this scholarship, applicants must be successful in being offered a place on their course after consideration of applications received by the relevant January deadline for the course. Course applications which are held over after the January deadline to be re-evaluated against applications received by the March deadline or course applications which have been put on a waiting list are not eligible for scholarship consideration.
